I started my career as a children’s nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital before my love of Spanish led me to take a BA (Honors) degree in Hispanic Studies at Sheffield University.

As part of this I spent a year living with a Spanish family in Madrid. I have also spent a year travelling around the Spanish speaking countries of Central and South America. I have been teaching Spanish for over 10 years now, and I have some pupils who have been with me from the beginning. My emphasis is on making sure that the lessons are enjoyable as well as constructive.
